New Item Announcement - Ceramic Garden Flowers

You asked us to make our famous Garden Flowers out of a combination of ceramic and glass...

We listened.  Meet Sophie and Piper, our newest additions.  Made from 5 pieces of  beautiful ceramic plates, vintage glass ware, and both feature vintage jewelry for the centers!

Sophia is made from a large blue and white striped dinner plate, a green leaf design ceramic and a vintage saucer with a delicate blue floral design, she has a green transparent flower shaped glass center accented by a vintage blue gem stone broach.  A beautiful addition to your garden, and pairs nicely with hydrangea, rhododendron or other bush style annuals.

Piper is made from a large vintage ceramic dinner plate accented with a gold scalloped design, a lavender leaf design ceramic followed by a vintage pressed glass iridescent bowl, a flower shaped center glass accented by a vintage purple gem stone.  This one can stand alone in your garden or will pair nicely with blue, purple, yellow, or white perennials.

Here at Sherman Street Design we’re very excited to announce the launch of our newly designed website which went live yesterday and is located at  web address www.shermanstreetdesign.com The site’s homepage features our art work, an uncluttered design as well as including our newly designed logo. A few of our goals with the new website were to make it faster, easier to navigate and more user friendly.

It was important for us to make our indoor and outdoor decor options as easily accessible as possible for our current and prospective clients.  Our new site features an entire section dedicated to examples of past art accomplishments, and a listing of new products.

We also wanted to give our clients an opportunity to know us better; who we are as a company and a family. By browsing through our About Us and Blog sections, you’ll get a pretty good idea of who we are, what we do as a company, and the quality of our work.

You’ll find our new site is divided into three main sections:  Our Store, Our Gallery, and Our Story. We shifted to a client-centric layout so our clients could easily navigate our site and locate the products they are seeking. Our Store section provides detailed descriptions of the items we proudly offer, pricing, and images. We have dedicated our new Gallery section to feature new products and a thumbnail gallery of our art over the years. Our Story section tells how we started and what we each do at Sherman Street Design.

April Featured Item - Wine Cork Earrings

What?  It's spring....

 ...shouldn't I feature garden decor like bird feeders, bird houses or our new garden totems (only available through our website after April 19th)?  Nah, everyone is featuring their spring line of outdoor decor right now, we wanted to to feature a more traditional item, one that is not dependent on the season :)

Wine Cork Earrings by Sherman Street Design

 Vintage inspired, these up-cycled wine cork earrings are hand sliced from used wine corks. They are then fitted between industrial hardware discs, next they are sandwiched between petal shaped iridescent crystals. The top is finished off with a silver cap. The bottom features a dangling swarovski crystal, (in your choice of Blue Tear Drop; Black Tear Drop; Purple Diamond; Pink Diamond; or a Red Round Bead) a silver finding and silver ball.

This pair is lovely with a pair of jeans or can be worn with evening wear. They dangle approximately 2 1/2 inches from top to bottom.

These make a unique gift for the wine aficionado (aka wine snob) on your list. Remember she loves wine, it's the one thing that everyone - from her closest friends to her most random acquaintances - knows about her, so she is used to getting a lot of wine stoppers and wine openers!
